GENESIS

Scholars' Private College commenced in october 1999 in Lafe-inn street, Oyemekun road Akure,Nigeria with only 4 students in attendance in the first academic session of the school. The school policy on admission is to admit students into junior class(JSS) one only.

There were 4 members of permanent staff including the proprietor/principal, coupled with other temporary or part time teachers. The names of the 4 students are Adebayo Elizabeth, Adetayo Ibukun, Ogenerukewe Mary, and Ayodele Seun. The first session opened in october 1999 and close in July 2000.

The teachers in attendance were: Mr Olu Adepetun, Mr Aroge Sunday, Mr Paul Adepetun, Mr Ayo. The schoolwas initially located at Lafe-Inn street, Oyemekun Road, Akure Before it moved in Marh 2001 to 7 Aloba Layouts Honeymoon, Ondo Road, Akure.

The second session commenced in september 2000 with 4 students in attendance, the students increased in number to 12 due to admission of new candidates. There are new staff also in attendance together with old ones. All the 12 students sat for and passed the school examinations and were promoted to new classes.

In year 2000, the school policy on admission changed because the management approved the admission of students into both JSS one & SSS one. The 2nd session  ended in July 2001.

The 3rd session commenced in september 2001 and by the end of the session, the school can boast of 60 regular students. New full time staff were also employed. They are Miller M., Agboola Funke, Abiola Oyerinde, Olatunji Bolanle. Information about them are contained in the staff employment/teachers file in the member profile. Majority of the students passed the school examination and got promoted to new classes while few of them failed and some among the few left the school because they refuse to repeat the class, only 2 of them repeated in the school. The 3rd session ended in July 2002.

The 4th session started in September 20002 with about 52 students.At the endof the session about 55 students were in attendance.

The 1st set of JSS3 students sat for the JSCE in 2001. The 1st set of WASSCE and NECO-SSCE students sat for their examination in May/June 2002. The 5 students who sat for the NECO-SSCE all passed. 4 of them passed English with distinctions or credits while other 4 students passed Mathematics with credits. The 2nd set of SS3 students registered and sat for their WASSE and NECO-SSCE. Only 9 students registered for the examination.  

The following teachers joined the school in the 4th session: Alabi Adejoke (Miss), Mr Adenika Matthew, Miss Mulero, Mr Gbala Charles, Mrs Ajayi Shade, Mr Awotimi Abiodun, Mr Olusanya Salami, Mr Ebenezer. Some of these teachers are still present in the school, while some have left. The first corper to serve with the shool is Mr Obiefuleh Pedro C. He served in 2001?2002 session as Biology and computer teacher. At the end of the 4th session about 60 students were promoted to new classes while SSS3 students left due to the completion of the their course. We vaated on 25th July 2003.

The 5th session commenced in 8th September 2003. Before resumption, we secured and bought a piece of  land for the school from Cheif Asae Ajayi. The land is located at Idi Mango, Ilu titun, along Adebowale, Ondo Road Akure. It was purchased at the rate of #60,000. We sourced for the money through the loan of #120,000 obtained from Datab Financial Institutio, 14/15 Alhaji Ogunleye complex, Oke-Ado, Agege, Lagos., through the help of God and Mr Daramola Bamidele who was the Agric teacher on part-time.

The 5th session witnessed a terrible period full of challenges- problems. In 2nd term January 5, 2004, it was unfortunate that Mr Patrick, Mr Adeuti, and Mr Wande, all conieved and took away the entire SS3 students of the 5th session through deceit.

It brought upon the school financial difficulties, because the students decreased in number from 90 students to 68. But thanks be to God for we still managed to survive the crisis. Some teachers joined the school in the 5th session. They are: Miss Komolafe Ronke, Miss Bamiduro, Mrs Adenuga, Miss Adebayo, Mr Jeremiah, Mr Amuluku Mr Oladeinde Miss Raji Biodun Mr Gowin Mr Kunle. Some of the teachers left after the session while someremained with the school. The session anded on 26 July 20004.
